Our Story Feed My Sheep Ministry launched in 2007, but our story begins several years earlier. Birthed from the Food Service Ministry at Elmbrook Church by a group of men and women who served together for church and community based events, we sensed God's calling to formalize the ministry and follow His call to serve beyond the four walls of the Church. More than a year of prayer followed and in 2007, part-time service became full-time ministry for Dave Van Abel, Ron Knox and Mike Vannucci. Today, more than 100 volunteers (ages 3 to 82!) regularly serve with them to provide meals in settings throughout the Greater Milwaukee area. We have great dreams. We believe God will provide a way for us to employ individuals, particularly youth, with a variety of work challenges to provide them with the skills necessary to become gainfully employed in the community while learning the basics of the Christian faith along the way. We desire to become "first responders" in our communities and beyond when disaster strikes, providing food and support to other first responders. These are big dreams, God-sized dreams. They require God's provision in time, talent and treasure. Is God calling you to join us? We'd love to talk with you about the possibilities! Contact Us! |
